Cancellation policy

Before dispatch, cancellation is free and unconditional. No fee is charged for cancelling and nothing is held back as restocking.

Timing

Get in before 3:00 PM IST if you can – that is when same-day orders are processed. Once the courier has the parcel the order cannot be cancelled; it is handled as a return instead (Return and refund policy).

Refund after cancellation

Prepaid orders are refunded within 5-7 business days to the method used. The final step – the money showing in your account – depends on your bank or UPI provider rather than on us.

If it was a Cash on Delivery order, no money changed hands before dispatch, so there is nothing to return.

Cancellation by Pelaris Editions

From time to time an order has to be cancelled from our side – stock that turns out to be unavailable, an address a courier cannot service, or a pricing error on a listing. We contact you at [email protected] and refund any amount paid in full within 5-7 business days. Nothing is deducted.

Bulk packs

Bulk notebook packs are picked as full cartons rather than assembled from shelf stock, so a cancellation on one needs to reach us before that carton is labelled.

Repeated refusal of COD parcels

If COD parcels from an account are refused at the door more than once, we may ask for prepayment on later orders. That is not applied silently – you would be contacted by us first.

Changing an order instead of cancelling

If you want a different size or colour rather than nothing at all, say so – before dispatch we can often amend the order rather than cancel and re-place it, which is faster.

Orders cancelled for non-payment

An unpaid order that has not completed at checkout is cancelled automatically. Nothing has been taken and there is nothing to refund.
